TKG Ep 103 New 2 Iron Outing at Sacramento National

Hello again Fellow Golfists!!

I purchased a new to me 2 iron from a bargain rack at Play It Again Sports and tonight was my first outing with it.  It is a Ben Hogan Apex Redline 2 iron with the Hogan Apex Extra 4 shaft.  I hit a few good ones but all in all I think that this particular shaft was worth the price.  If I ever get my hands on a Wilson Staff Gooseneck FG53 2 iron I just might put this shaft into it.  

I had a decent outing at Sacramento National and used my new to me iphone to make a couple of good slow motion videos of me hitting rather good shots.  I had another outing with the Ping Tisi driver with the Larry Bobka Laker shaft.  I had to put a little bit of weighted tape on the back of that to help with the constant fade slice.  

All and all a good outing.  Ball quality rating at Sacramento National on this night was a 6 out of 10.  0 being completely rubbish range balls and 10 being brand new range balls.  24 dollars for 150 range balls with top tracer simulators that don't work.
